August Development Schedule

It’s August and we would like to extend our best wishes to the OVR community, we hope you all have an excellent month. Surely, it’s going to be an exciting month here at OVR, as our development schedule this month is nothing short of thrilling. As a quick reminder, the OVR team is dedicated to the constant development of the OVR ecosystem. Without further ado, here’s the summary of what you should expect to see this month.

OVR Ecosystem

¶ Custom profile picture from marketplace synced with the app: This feature will allow you to upload any photo as your profile picture in your OVR marketplace account.

¶ 3D NFT support for OVR web builder: You’ll now be able to upload 3D NFTs into the OVR Builder from your wallet address.

¶ Staking 2.0 with auto compound rewards: With this version of OVR staking, rewards will be compounded. This is a great incentive to earn more without the need for un-staking and re-staking.

¶ OVR web builder modular assets kit. This is more like an architectural kit. This kit will contain the objects and shapes made by OVR to aid designers in their building efforts.

¶ Add links to objects in the OVR web builder: With this feature, hyperlinks can be added to objects in the OVR builder.

OVR App

¶ Auto plane recognition while loading OVR Experiences: The app will be able to automatically recognize planes and confirm the points while you are trying to load OVR Experiences.

¶ Color randomizer for new avatars: With this feature, you’ll be able to change the color of your avatar.

¶ Linked object support: Hyperlinked objects will be supported by the OVR app.

¶ We will also fix the push notification bug

In other news, we have announced the winners of the first round of the OVR-Chainlink competition. The second round of the OVRLand competition has begun and will conclude on the 30th of August. Don’t miss the opportunity to win the $10k prize!
